WOOD DUCK HUNT #2
Headed back to the flooded bean field after work again today, and boy what a difference a day made. The small hole I hunted yesterday did indeed triple in size and I kicked up a group of woodys as I made my way across the field. . I again forgot my layout blind so I tucked into the same brush as yesterday and quickly set out my spread with wood ducks circling overhead. I no more than got sat down and a flock of 6 splashed into the middle of my spread. I stood as they flushed and recorded my first triple of the season, two stud drakes and a hen to fill my limit. The wood ducks would continue to pile into my spread the rest of the evening but that was it no other ducks around tonight.
